BEST OF THE MONTH
December 2003
This month various members of our staff give you their
picks.
BEST CD
RELEASE

Bruce Dickinson - Chemical Wedding
None of the music released this December really excited us
so we let John pick any CD he wanted as best of the month. John was
so excited that he picked Bruce Dickinson's CD and managed to point out
that it was released in September of 1998 off the top of his head. I
don't know what's sadder that John knew the exact release date of a five
year old CD or that you could purchase this CD brand new for $1.99 at BMG.
Only John knows.

Midway Arcade Treasures - Multi Platform
For ever fan of arcade games
and who is so annoyed that they bought the Nintendo version of paperboy or
Gauntlet and was so unsatisfied all you wanted to do was go back to the
arcade and play the original ... look no further. Midway has satisfied our
nostalgic needs and put together a game that features all our favorite
classics: Gauntlet, Rampage, Spy Hunter, Smash TV, Root Beer Tapper, 720,
Joust, and believe there is much, much more. All versions are complete
arcade translations so don't get a tear in your eye when you remember
being a wee lad and how exciting it felt to get up to level 147 of
Gauntlet. save that for me because I'm such a wus. Anyway, did I forget to
mention this game is only $20 for 24 games. sweet dude, sweet.

Escape From New York - Special Edition
You can't go wrong with "Escape from New York". It
kicked ass twenty years ago and it still kicks ass today. It kicks
as much ass as it did when it first came out, if not more. Plus it
has an ass-load of special features and deleted scenes. Which is
like a double dose of ass kicking.

The Lord of the Rings: Return of
the King
Churroflex chose this film as the best of the month because he
likes the hobbits and their big hairy feet and because of Viggo Mortenson and
his big hairy .....
You know what, let's just end the best of the month list a
little early for December.
-Churroflex
The year has come and gone, so go out and enjoy the best of
the final month. We hope to bring you more "quality" picks in the coming
year and no more references to Viggo Mortenson's "sword" and no more obscure
music picks by John.
