Profile:

.   Although it is unknown whether he was born in Mexico City or Ciudad Juarez, we do know German Valdes moved to Ciudad Juarez at age 12 where he got his start.  Along with his brothers, Manuel "Loco" Valdes and Don Ramon Valdes, he revolutionized Mexican comedy and the Mexican movie industry as we know it.  Tin Tan, as he was known, began his career in the radio stations of Juarez.  Along with being a great actor and comedian, he was a great innovator in fashion.  Being one of the most influential people in spreading the "Pachuco" style of dress.  Throughout his career he appeared in over 100 films, such as "El Rey del Barrio" and "El Bello Durmiente".  Tin Tan passed away in April of 2002.  His influence on the world of comedy is still seen to this day.  For his excellence in the field of comedy and acting we name German "Tin Tan" Valdes as an inductee into the El Paso del Norte Hall of Fame.
